Montclair State University and Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PSEG) have established a new partnership aimed at expanding educational opportunities for PSEG employees. The collaboration offers discounted tuition, waived application fees, and dedicated support services to help employees pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees at Montclair State University.

The agreement is part of Montclair Unbound, an initiative by the university to make higher education more accessible by removing barriers and providing flexible pathways for learners. Eligible PSEG employees will receive a 20 percent scholarship on select degree programs, including 14 online programs, 15 on-campus graduate programs, and 29 on-campus undergraduate programs. Application fees will be waived for these employees, who can access further information through a dedicated webpage. A designated admissions liaison will assist them throughout the process from application to graduation.

Dianne LaRocca, vice president of talent, culture and wellbeing at PSEG, said: “This partnership reflects PSEG’s commitment to investing in our workforce and ensuring our employees have access to the skills and education needed to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving energy industry. By collaborating with Montclair State University, we’re opening doors for our employees to achieve their professional goals and strengthen our company’s future.”

Montclair State University will provide access to various online and on-campus degree options in fields such as Business Administration (MBA and BS), Accounting, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Digital Marketing Analytics, Information Technology, Sustainability Science, Psychology, and Strategic Communications. Flexible online learning options are also available for working professionals.

As part of this partnership, Montclair State University will participate in PSEG career and education fairs and offer information sessions and webinars while working closely with PSEG’s human resources team to promote these opportunities within the company.

Marc Austin, vice provost and managing director of Montclair Unbound at Montclair State University stated: “Montclair Unbound is about meeting students where they are in their lives, their communities, and their careers and helping them succeed on their own terms. This partnership with PSEG exemplifies how we can collaborate with leading employers to open doors, empower student success, and align education with real-world opportunity.”
