Erin J. McCann has been named the new Associate Vice President for Campus Auxiliary Services at Montclair State University. She will take on her new role starting July 1, 2025.

McCann will report to the Vice President for Finance and Treasury and will work closely with Student Development and Campus Life, Residence Life, and University Facilities. Her responsibilities include overseeing dining services, the University Ice Arena, the University Bookstore, and student ID services.

Before joining Montclair State University, McCann served as Vice President of Student Life and Development and Title IX Coordinator at New Jersey City University (NJCU). She also held a position as chief student affairs officer at Saint Peter’s University. Her roles involved managing programs, facilities, budgets, and personnel across various departments such as Student Activities, Counseling, Health Services, Dining Services, Campus Safety, Conferencing and External Events.

At NJCU, McCann developed the first Student Development and Community Engagement Strategic Plan. She improved the University's Conferencing and External Events Department by forming multiple revenue-generating partnerships. Additionally, she managed the opening of NJCU's Center for Student Persistence and Success. At Saint Peter’s University during its Elite Eight run in 2022 in athletics history-making event she led COVID-19 response efforts including authoring a reopening plan.

Vice President for Finance and Treasury Adam Rathbun remarked on her appointment: “Campus Auxiliary Services has long been under the thoughtful leadership of Dr. Soufleris... As the University continues to grow... Erin brings a unique blend of student affairs and auxiliary services experience.”

McCann expressed enthusiasm about her new position: “I am excited to officially join the Montclair State University family,” she said.

With over two decades in higher education focusing on auxiliary management among other areas McCann aims to bring a "student-centered service-driven approach" to her new role at Montclair State University.
