Nexus Licensing Group and Montclair State University have entered into an exclusive partnership, with Nexus appointed as the university's licensing agency of record. The collaboration aims to expand Montclair State University's brand reach and increase revenue through both traditional retail and eCommerce channels.

The agreement tasks Nexus with developing a strategic plan to manage and protect the university’s name and marks. This includes enhancing its retail strategy through tailored promotions on campus and elsewhere.

Joseph Brennan, Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Montclair, emphasized the importance of this initiative. “Montclair’s brand and reputation are very valuable assets. To help us expand its reach – and protect against unauthorized uses – we have established a formal trademarks licensing program,” he stated. Brennan expressed optimism about working with Nexus, anticipating mutual benefits for the university and its partners.
