Faculty, staff, and students gathered in Trenton, New Jersey, on Tuesday, March 25, to advocate for increased funding for Montclair State University and Bloomfield College. This initiative was part of the Montclair and Bloomfield Day at the Capitol.

Throughout the day, the delegation engaged with state representatives to highlight how education at these institutions impacts students' lives and underline the long-term benefits of securing additional funding.

A notable moment during the event was the testimony of Bloomfield student Ethan Garcia at the Assembly Budget Committee. Sharing his personal experiences, Garcia emphasized the transformative role the college has played in his life.

“I can solemnly say that my experience at Bloomfield College of Montclair State University has been life-changing and consider myself to be proof that my school is succeeding in its mission to serve its students by providing them with the opportunity and resources to advance in our economy,” said Garcia. “It is a lifeline and launchpad for many others that share my story, a place where anyone, regardless of their background, can succeed.”
