Montclair State University has introduced four new fully online degree programs for students pursuing bachelor's or master's education. These programs, starting in fall 2024 and 2025, are designed to offer flexibility, enabling students to complete coursework around their schedules while engaging with faculty and classmates.

The new online degree offerings include:

- Online Bachelor’s in Psychology: This asynchronous program prepares graduates for careers in social services, marketing research, counseling, mental health, education, business, finance, human resources, and more.

- Online Bachelor’s in Business Administration: Accredited by AACSB and offering concentrations in Marketing, Management, and Finance. The program aims to equip students with business theories and best practices essential for the modern workforce.

- Online Master’s in Accounting: Also AACSB-accredited, this program is tailored for career changers entering the accounting field or those preparing for the New Jersey CPA examination. Graduates can pursue careers in corporations, nonprofit institutions, and the public sector.

- Online Master of Social Work (MSW): Focused on providing social work practice and advocacy services. The Children, Youth and Families concentration emphasizes support for diverse groups.

Montclair State University offers over 30 online degree and certificate programs across various fields such as Educational Leadership, Applied Information Technology, Nursing, and Social Research. Students benefit from comprehensive support including advising and career resources while maintaining flexibility to balance work and other responsibilities.

“At Montclair, we believe in breaking down barriers to success for our students,” says Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Junius Gonzales. “Offering these new bachelor’s and master’s programs in flexible learning modalities allows us to set up our graduates for careers in many in-demand fields.”
