Meet our first two #passaiccountybeardweek competitors- and remember that voting will start on September 3rd!
This dapper looking gentleman on the left is William H. Hamilton, the son of Henry and Margaret. The Hamilton family purchased their homestead on Valley Road in 1856 to help supply their milk delivery service in Paterson. This is a beard loved not only by humans, but by cows as well. In today’s #BeardOff, William’s well-trimmed, salt-and-pepper beard is representing the Hamilton House Museum!
Representing the The Wayne Museum in this week’s #BeardOff is the very distinguished Martin Jacobs! Jacobs and his long locks were born in New York City, but in October 1870, he married Amelia S. Mead of Mead’s Basin (today Mountain View) at Preakness Reformed Church here in Wayne.
Voting will open on Friday, September 2nd on our See Passaic County Facebook and Instagram pages.
