College students from 30 universities are addressing environmental and climate challenges at Montclair State University this summer as part of the PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies’ annual “Green Teams” program. This initiative, launched by the Modern Language Association (MLA), is funded by the Mellon Foundation and is part of the MLA's new Pathways: Recruitment, Retention, and Career Readiness initiative.
On May 8, Montclair State University's Audiology department held its inaugural White Coat Ceremony for a dozen clinical doctoral graduates. The university boasts one of only 75 doctoral audiology programs across the nation and the sole program in New Jersey. Accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, Montclair's program prepares students to work with individuals who have difficulty hearing or understanding speech, processing auditory signals, or have balance disorders.
The Cali Immersive Residency Program at Montclair State University culminated in a series of lectures, interviews, master classes, workshops and performances led by Grammy-winning composer, conductor and speaker Eric Whitacre. Whitacre collaborated with the John J. Cali School of Music ensembles and 500 high school choristers during the residency.
